Like many other football clubs in Berlin, the club Reinickendorfer Füchse is renowned for its excellent work with children and youths and for the numerous talented players it has produced. Nowadays it is primarily the handball team of the Berlin Foxes that achieves national success.

Where children and youths are concerned, football plays an important role in society.

Several of Berlin’s football clubs are well known for their excellent work with children and youths. Above all the club Reinickendorfer Füchse has produced numerous talented players, some of whom became world class players. However, for the most part they did not remain long in Berlin because they saw better opportunities for their sports career elsewhere. For players in the various age groups football also serves an important social function; for example, young people practice on and off the field how to cooperate and get along with others. In particular the youth coaches and the many volunteers helping them have an important mission: they are contributing significantly to integration and social cohesion in society. As in all of Berlin’s football clubs, the club Reinickendorfer Füchse also counts many boys and girls from diverse ethnic, cultural and religious background among its young players.
